Alaska is small on the map and loud on the index. YouMail counted 45,195,600 robocalls in 2025 and 31,244,100 already in 2026 — roughly the Anchorage-area figure that YouMail also publishes as a city total.
2025 Do Not Call complaints: 4,280 — 583 per 100,000, up from 233. That +150.2% was the largest increase in the United States.
Federal floor: TCPA — $500 / $1,500 per illegal call or text.
Alaska layer: Alaska Stat. § 45.50.475 (telephone solicitation) plus the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act. Alaska does not run a Florida-style mini-TCPA with its own $500 ticker. The private damages most consumers actually collect still ride the federal TCPA. The Attorney General (Treg Taylor) can enforce state solicitation rules and join the 49-state Anti-Robocall Task Force letters to carriers.
What changed: No new Alaska mini-TCPA in 2025–26. The story is volume: the complaint surge means more Alaskans are finally reporting, which is the first step to a file.
Left on the table: 4,280 complaints × $500 ≈ $2.1 million. × $1,500 ≈ $6.4 million. Forty-five million estimated robocalls means the real gap is larger if even a sliver were illegal autodialed or DNC hits.

This is a Q3 2026 TeleJustice Academy quarterly law update. Figures: YouMail Robocall Index (estimated volume); 2025 DNC complaint counts and per-capita rates compiled from the FTC Data Book cycle. “Money left on the table” is complaint count × TCPA statutory minimums — an illustration, not a prediction. Robocall indexes include legal recorded calls. Only documented illegal calls and texts support a claim.
